Ella and Louis Again
DOL 1262FC – import LP on limited BLUE colored vinyl
Among her seventy albums, Ella Fitgerald often shared the spotlight – with none more memorably than Louis Armstrong. This second installment of their collaboration, accompanied by Oscar Peterson and his group, finds them alternating betwwen duets and solo performances, with Satchmo picking up his trumpet on six tracks. “Autumn in New York”, and Stompin;’ at the Savoy” are among the standards these two legends reinterpret with unmateched warmth and charm.
Tracks:
Don’t Be That Way
Makin’ Whoopee
They All Laughed
Comes Love
Autumn In New York
Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love)
Stompin’ at the Savoy
