Best of Motorhead – Live at Birmingham Hall, England, UK, June 3rd, 1977.

Frontman Lemmy Kilmister founded Motorhead after being evicted from space-rock band Hawkwind. He took the name for Motorhead from the final song he’d written for his old band. Recorded doing Motorhead’s classic period, the trio is playing rock & roll the way it had never been heard before. Motorhead wasn’t a punk band but it spoke to the punks with their brutal, thumping loud and fast style of heavy metal, which laid the groundwork for speed metal and thrash metal.
This is the power trio at it’s prime!
