Swamp Dogg
Rat On!
Alive 142 – re-issue LP

Swamp Dogg’s 1971 soul masterpiece. The classic 1971 deep soul album, Rat On!, was ranked as having one of the top ten worst album covers of all time, an achievement that Swamp Dogg is rightfully proud of. Vocally, Swamp Dogg sounds like a cross between General Johnson (of Chairmen of the Board) and Van Morrison; as a songwriter, he’s his own man. With the exception of Sly Stone, no other soul men of the period were investigating controversial topics with such infectious musicality and good humor.

Songs are:
Do You Believe
Predicament #2
Remember, I Said Tomorrow
Creeping Away
Got to Get A Message To You
God Bless America For What
I Kissed Your Face
That Ain’t My Wife
She Even Woke Me Up to Say Goodbye
Do Our Thing Together

NEW SEALED re-issue LP
