Greatest Hits
Curb Records 77387 – compilation LP
A real one-of-a-kind, Bobbie Gentry did her own stunts in the music industry. One of the first popular female artists to compose and produce her own work, Gentry also arranged her own shows, did her own wardrobe, and controlled just about every other piece of her career too. Not only that-she was incredibly talented. She made waves in country, pop and soul equally before retiring. This Greatest Hits album is a testament to her unshakeable, powerful assuredness.
