Eat a Peach
Mercury 24691-01 – re-issue 2 LP set on 180g vinyl in a thick gatefold jacket ]
Eat A Peach is the third studio album from the Allman Brothers and was originally released in February of 1972. It has been remastered from original analog tapes by Keven Reeves (Brothers And Sisters, The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings) to 192kHz 24-bit audio and then cut on copper plates using Abbey Road Mastering’s Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) lathe. This title is being issued on 180g, heavy weight vinyl. The original artwork has been faithfully reproduced as well. During the studio sessions, lead guitarist Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident, making this his final recordings. The live recordings were taken from the legendary 1971 Fillmore East tapes.
