Rockafella – 2 LP set

Kanye’s 2004 debut album was 5 years in the works, during the time he gained accolades for his production work. Despite the industry not wanting anything to do with him, it was a huge success. Offering an alternative to the hard gangsta rap of the time, West broke through with humor, and themes of family, consciousness, religion, materialism, racism and higher education. Guests are too numerous to include all, but some are;John Legend,Syleena Johnson, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Mos Def, Common, Taleb Kweli, Twista and others.
