Fania All Stars
Live at the Cheehah Vol 1
Craft Recordings 556 -re-issue LP on 180g vinyl in a thick gatefold jacket
On August 26, 1971, the Fania All-Stars electrified the Cheetah Club in New York, causing a salsa-induced delirium that not only defined their career, but the salsa genre itself. This live recording captures that unforgettable performance, featuring fiery grooves on “Anacaona (feat. Cheo Feliciano),” and “Qutate T,” with vocals by Hector Lavoe and other salsa legends. This 50th Anniversary Edition boasts all-analog mastering from the original tapes by Kevin Gray on 180-gram vinyl. The band includes Fania legends Johnny Pacheco, Hector Lavoe, Cheo Faliciano, Ismarl Miranda, Pete “El Conde” Rodriguez, Willie Colon, Ray Barretto and many more.
