T REX
self titled album T REX
Warner 6440 – re-issue LP on 180g vinyl

The most iconic band of the U.K. glam rockscene of the ’70s, T. Rex were the creation ofMarc Bolan, who started out as a cheerfully addledacolyte of psychedelia and folk-rock until he turnedto swaggering rock & roll with boogie rhythm anda tricked-up fashion sense. For a couple years,T. Rex were the biggest band in England and a potentcult item in the United States. If their stardom didn’t last, their influence did, and T. Rex’s dirty but playfulattitude and Bolan’s sense of style and rock starmoves would show their influence in metal, punk, new wave, and alternative rock; it’s all but impossibleto imagine the ’80s new romantic scene existingwithout Bolan’s influence. (via AllMusic) New 180g re-issue has a faithful reproduction of the original poster cover.
