Robert Blair & the Fantastic Violinaires
God Has A Blessing Waiting For You
Air 10143
Formed in Detroit in 1952, the Fantastic Violinaires are still performing today, well into their seventh decade! Singers moving through their ranks include Wilson Pickett, and the great Robert Blair, heard here.God Has A Blessing Waiting For You is their 1989 offering full of great harmonies, some shouted leads, and some high tenor, along with some “modern” instrumentation. It’s not that far from this version of the Violinaires and the Stylistics. Includes their great version of Bob Dylan’s I Shall Be Released.
