Beatles For Sale was the Beatles’ fourth album in 21 months in the UK, originally released inDec of 1964. There was no Beatles For Sale in the US, as the tracks were scattered over various albums; 8 of the 12 appearing on Beatles ’65. Again produced by George Martin, the albumshows the influence of country music, Bob Dylan, and only 8 of the 14 songs are originals, the others being covers of Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Little Richard (and others), possibly because of their hectic touring and movie schedule. It again topped the charts, as they were at the height of the Beatlemania phenomenon.
