Hip Hug-Her is the fifth studio album by the Southern soulband Booker T. & the M.G.’s, released on Stax Records inJune 1967. The title track was the band’s most successfulsingle since their debut, “Green Onions”.As thehouse band at Stax Records in Memphis, Tennessee, Booker T. & the MG’s may have been the single greatest factor in the lasting value of that label’s soul music, not to mentionSouthern soul as a whole.(Wikipedia)
