Edith Piaf
La Vie En Rose
DOL 1259FC – import LP on limited MAROON colored vinyl
Her voice defined an era – and a city. This is the earliest album by Piaf, released as a collection of 78s before the LP era, and includes her hit “La Vie En Rose”. With orchestral backing led by Guy Luypaerts, this Parisian chanteuse, small in stature but immense in voice, embodies love and tragedy with a rawness that no one has ever matched. A foundation stone of French Chanson.
Tracks:
La Vie en Rose
C’est D’la Faute
La Fete Continue
Hymne a L’Amour
Je Hais Les Dimanches
Padam…Badam
Plus Bleu Que Tes Yeux
Jezebel
