Elvis Costello
The Kings of America
Third Man 1024 – 2 LP set for RSD25

This release finds Elvis Costello playing the historic Royal Albert Hall in the company of legendary guitarist James Burton (who you many remember from his time with another famous Elvis) the great drummer Jim Keltner, Jerry Scheff, Benmont Tench, and T-Bone Wolk. Costello leads the way with the charm of a sophisticated nightclub band leader, as they tear through a perfect set of C&W, R&B, and Folk Blues alongside songs from his 1986 masterpiece King of America. Seventeen-song concert recorded on January 27, 1987. Newly mixed from multitrack tapes.
