Tropical Dandy is the cult classic album that marked Hosonos shift toward genre-blending, fusing exotica, jazz, and pop to lay the groundwork for Japanese City Pop – described by none other than Van Dyke Parks as “cinematic romance with sonic texture”. Limited 180g vinyl in the US featuring exclusive OBI and a new translation of Hosono’s 11975 liner notes.
