Kumoko feat XL Middleton
Star Creature 1246 – 4 track 12″ single
City Pop meets West Coast Boogie Funk with a dash of Synthwave Jazz Funk. LA’s XL Middleton and Japanese new-comer Kumoko team up for a California hybrid slapper of a future funk excursion. The Modern Funk Maestro provides the production on both sides with vocal slap raps on the A with the robotic fantasy hooks sung by Japanese native Kumoko throughout. Instrumentals included for breezy vibe spins sure to please any contemporary funk or techno-synth enthusiast.
A slice of excellence as always from Star Creature!
A dash of Synthwave Jazz Funk on this 4 track EP. Vocal and instrumental mixes of “MOONLIGHT MAGIC” and “TAKE TO THE SKY” with vocals by Japanese native KUMOKO. Fans of XL MIDDLETON’s take on Modern Funk should dig this. Out on Chicago’s own STAR CREATURE. BOOGIE DISCO
