Description
NOTS hails from the Goner Records enclave of Memphis, TN, all female post-punkers (with a no-wave tinge) that formed alongside the scene stalwarts Ex-Cult. The drums? Heavy but not heavy-handed. The vox? Booming and drastic. Acerbic yet memorable synth lines, implosive guitar, and, what is often the cornerstone of the genre, bass that is imaginative, thoughtful and indisputably cold. This single captures 2 live staples from their 2016 LP Cosmetic before the tracks were officially out there.
