Steve Dawson, leader of the Chicago band Dolly Varden, released his second solo album, I Will Miss The Trumpets And The Drums, in Feb 2010 to universal acclaim. The album reveals new depth in Dawsons melodic, soulful songs and singing, with familiar echoes of classic country, pop and soul. Dawson plays and sings on the whole album, sometimes by himself, and is augmented by Chicago’s finest musicians from the fertile improvisors’ scene; Josh Berman, Joel Paterson, Jason Adasiewicz, Frank Rosaly, Jason Roebke, Keefe Jackson, etc. For more information of Dawson and his band, Dolly Varden, visit http://stevedawsonmusic.com.
