The Pips (Gladys Knight) |Label: Vee Jay 386 |Format: 45 |Genre: Soul/Funk/R&B
Condition: Very Good Plus
This is a true rarity; a PROMO ACETATE of Vee Jay 386,
The Pips – Every Beat of My Heart b/w Room in Your HeartOf course, in the early days, no one knew what a big star Gladys Knight was to become, so she was not featured on the label at this time; it just states “The Pips”.A side is the well-known song, while the B side, Gladys sounds a bit like Tina Turner.A nice northern soul style stomper! Great double sided hit!Awesome!!It is a two sided acetate on metal
Comments from Orbit Records: plays nice with some noise – listen to sound clip of both sides here;
